Wide operating temperature range: Stable performance from -55?? to +85??.
Structure: Lithium metal negative electrode; thionyl chloride (SOCl?) serves as both the positive electrode active material and electrolyte; fully hermetically sealed by welding.
Types
Capacity type (carbon-wound construction): Ideal for micro-current and long-lifespan applications (water meters / electricity meters / gas meters). Power type (wound cell construction): Capable of sustaining large pulse currents (e.g., communication modules, security systems).
II. Lithium Thionyl Chloride Battery Pack
It is assembled by connecting multiple lithium thionyl chloride cells as required:
Series connection: Boosts voltage (e.g., 2 cells in series output 7.2V).
Parallel connection: Increases total capacity and extends operating duration.
Common models: Modules assembled from ER14505, ER18505, ER34615 and other cell types.

Limited continuous discharge current for single cells (typically several tens of milliamps for capacity-type cells).
